Thousands of species have been extinct from these planets and hundreds of species are on the verge of extinction because of habitat damage. And we are responsible for this.

We are making this planet hell for other animals. Now it is the need of time to make awareness among people about those factors that are causing damage to our wildlife, these causes are given below

1: Deforestation To Make Land Clear For Agriculture

Farming is now one of the biggest reasons for habitat loss of many species. Forests are cut down or even burnt out to make land clear for agriculture. The tropical rain forest is being cut down rapidly every day to grow plants like palm oil tree plants.

It is hard to believe and heart-rending that 78 million acres’ woodlands are lost every year. About 20 percent of the Amazon forest has already been destroyed and much more is ruthlessly endangered as the demolition continues.

Why are forests being destroyed so rapidly? simply, extra land is required to cultivate more eatable goods.

2: Habitat Loss To Make Colonies: A vast majority of natural habitat is destroyed for human homes as well. We decide to clear land for large buildings and to make luxurious homes. We snatching rooms of other species just to make our life more and more comfortable. But if the situation continues as it is, our future survival is also not guaranteed.

3: Habitat Loss To Get Timber: Forests are also damaged so that their constituents can be used to keep us easy and comfy. For example, the trees are used to make many paper goods, and logs are also used for the manufacturing of furniture and various items.

4. Destruction Of Wetlands: Swamps and marshes are known as wetlands. Wetlands or marsh lands are those areas of soil that are enclosed with water. Wetlands are consisting of ecosystems that are distinctive and enormously varied. Unlike the forests where we remove trees and make the land more compressed from above, we fill swamp lands to cover them up so that we can form things above them.

Habitat Loss – While fulfilling our needs we are destroying large areas of forest which have very adverse effects, these are discussed here:

  • Habitat demolition is the foremost cause of death of many species and is the reason that many animals are in danger of extinction. Animals are very intelligent, but without their natural homes, they cannot protect themselves and their young ones.
  • When we make land clear for our homes, bulldozers go through forests to clear trees and smooth the ground. This process happens so suddenly that animals find no time to adopt such drastic changes and eventually many of them die!

What is Deforestation? Just Visualize waking up one day, only to realize that the whole thing you’ve always known has suddenly altered. The home you’ve existed in for your whole life has gone. The roads are much changed, making direction-finding very difficult and complex, and you find yourself in zones that are unacquainted with you.

Everywhere you find elements that could be the reason for your damage and there is no fleeing. This situation would be miserable, very devastating, and a lot of people would not live. This is what happens to the wildlife and marine animals every day as their homes are being demolished.

As we consume natural resources, the homes of many animals are gone in this progression. In actual meaning, habitat damage is also known as habitat demolition, and it happens when we destroy the natural accommodations that are homes to wildlife.

Human trafficking or human trading, also known as modern slavery, comprises the use of force, scam, or pressure to obtain any kind of hard work or money-making sex act against the will of the person who is being traded.

Human traffickers may use fierceness, handling, or false assurances of jobs of good salary or dreamy relations to trap victims into being marketed.

In modern-day slavery, there are a lot of people including man, woman, and children of all ages, color, and races. You will be a wonder to know that today, a large number of people have been trapped in modern day slavery.

According To The Various Research Results And Reports;

  • There are nearly 45.8 million people who have been trapped in human trafficking around the globe.
  • These statistics consist of 10 million children, 15.4 million people are victims of forced marriage, and 4.8 million people are victims of forced sexual manipulation.
  • Almost 71% percent among them are women and girls
  • Females contained 84 percent of victims of forced marriage
  • Almost one fourth among them are children

 child forced labor

However, it is tough to find out the exact numbers because a lot of cases of human trafficking go unnoticed and unreported. Human trafficking is taking place in all places around the world. No area of the world is safe from this curse. Human trafficking is very profitable; traffickers earn about $150 billion per year.

Forced labor takes place in many parts such as domestic work, construction of buildings, manufacturing, farming, fishing, and moneymaking sexual abuse.

According to ‘Palermo Protocol’, trafficking in human beings is:

The transportation, recruitment, transfer, harboring or receiving of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of force, of kidnapping, of scam, of cheating, of the abuse of power or of a position of weakness or of the giving or getting of payments or someone takes advantages to get the permission of a person who is having control over another person, for the purpose of manipulation or misuse. Exploitation shall comprise, at least, sexual exploitation or the exploitation of prostitution, slavery, or practices similar to slavery, forced labor, enslavement, or the deduction of organs.

Steps To Remove Modern Slavery

  • Following given steps can take us toward ending modern slavery.
  • Educate yourself and spread awareness about modern-day slavery, a child forced labor, and forced labor to other peoples.
  • Always buy those good that is manufactured with fair labor standards
  • Make your voice heard in United Nations human rights by calling your native demonstrative to promote anti-trafficking law.
  • Donate to those organizations which are fighting with these evils.
  • Take notice of your surrounding for any doubtful signs of slavery around you.
  • Let no one is left behind to eradicate these inhuman acts from all around the globe

When biodiversity is lost, an increase in the spreading of diseases takes place, which scientists think, is for the reason that some species are better in controlling the transmission of diseases. Current extraordinary deteriorations in biodiversity decrease the ability of ecological societies to deliver numerous essential ecosystem services. Here we analyze evidence that decreased

biodiversity affects the communication of contagious diseases of humans’ other animals and plants.

Habitat Loss And Spread Of Contagious Diseases

However, increasing evidence shows that biodiversity loss, normally increases the transmission of various diseases. Alterations in the human social organization have led to the occurrence of human infections, for example, with the development of cities and colonies during the industrial progression and from hunting and gathering to agriculture have become major factors to habitat loss and the spread infectious diseases.

Globalization and ecological disorders are reasons for recent emergence and reemergence of contagious diseases. It is speculating that deforestation, habitat destruction, and loss of biodiversity linked with biotic homogenization can enhance the spread of contagious and infectious diseases affecting humans.

The visible connection between transmittable disease and biotic homogenization is responsible for many transmittable and infectious diseases.

Biodiversity is the basic structure that maintains all life. Our oceans are suffering from the immense pressure of plastic. Life on our beaches and oceans is suffocating because of oil spills and plastic pollution.

Rain forests are being lost rapidly to make land clear for agriculture. These things have a major contribution to the loss of biodiversity and the extinction of several species.

For many years these issues have resulted in the exploitation of our planet by human beings and are responsible to be causing the sixth extinct period, that the planet is presently experiencing.

Humans damaged the ecosystem by removing the forests, killing animals or caging them, and transporting them to humans for eating and making medicines. Ultimately, viruses lost their hosts and start looking for new hosts. As a result, these viruses eventually transfer to human beings.

Loss Of Biodiversity And COVID19

Destruction of biodiversity and habitat loss lead to a situation for new viruses and diseases such as COVID-19. All the people from the pandemic of COVID19 must understand that either directly or indirectly biodiversity is of intrinsic value and nature and ecosystems are associated to corporate activity.

Organizations and companies must act now to prevent further habitat and extinction loss before it’s too late. The planet’s future is in our hands but yet we have not done anything good to this planet except destruction.

Now everyone must take strict action in saving the planet instantly. Let’s take a start from you and come forward to stop biodiversity and habitat loss and stop plastic pollution from racking our beaches and have a healthy ocean that delights its sustain for generations to come. We can make a change but we must act fast!

This is what Global Right Concert is doing through this platform. Be part of us and Let no one be left behind in making this planet a beautiful and healthy place to live for all life.

Our earth is suffering a lot because of deforestation (CUTTING DOWN FORESTS) ;

  • The greenhouse gases are increasing in the atmosphere due to deforestation, which is ultimately increasing the temperature of the earth.
  • Trees also regulate the level of water in the atmosphere, in deforested areas, there is less amount of moisture in the air which causes dryer soil and land to become barren.
  • Soil erosion and flooding is increased due to deforestation
  • Deforestation leads to habitat loss of thousands of species.

Global Right Concert is creating awareness among people about forestation and reforestation. Our mother earth is suffering a lot because of deforestation, let no one be left behind in making our planet a better and healthy place to live and grow plants as much as you can. Make our planet green again!

Forests are essential for life on mother earth. Forests are home to, up to 80% of the biodiversity of terrestrial life. Forests play an essential and important role in avoiding soil erosion, degradation of land, and desertification. Forests also play an important role in sustaining global climate stability and absorb almost 1.5 billion tons of carbon released per year. However, 5.2 million hectares of forest are lost per year. These disturbing pieces of evidence are analytic of the catastrophe that is facing the world’s forests as a consequence of unmaintainable land-use and the over-utilization of forest resources.

Lungs Of Earth

Forest is known as the ‘lungs of the world’ as they clean out our atmosphere by absorbing about 10 to 20 tons of carbon dioxide per hectare each year. According to an estimate, a single leafy and mature plant releases oxygen enough for ten people. On average, one tree releases about 260 pounds of oxygen per year.

Phytoplankton which is also known as marina algae releases about fifty to eighty percent of oxygen in the atmosphere, but forests play a major role in improving the air quality.

Trees Normalize Climate

Trees generate vital areas of shade on the ground because of their branches and leavesForests near or in urban areas play a vital role in keeping the atmosphere clean and healthy and also maintain an optimum temperature range. Forests also help to maintain the atmosphere cool, decreasing the need for air coolers and air conditioners.

Trees fight the heat by absorbing carbon dioxide that creates global warming. If the forests are in larger areas then we can fight the current major issues like global warming, climate change.

Forests – The Source Of Income

On average more than 25 % of people depend on forests for their livelihood. They earn money through forests, as forests produce food, provide shelter and we also get timber from forests to make buildings, paper, and a lot of things.

Forests are also a huge source of medicines, cosmetic products, and detergents. We are getting a large number of herbs and using them in the treatment of various diseases.

Elephants are mammals and the largest existing land animals. Elephants; the icons of their lands and the grace of their ecosystem are in trouble. According to an estimate almost 100 African elephants are being killed every day by poachers to get their ivory. We lose Up to 50,000 elephants each year, because of habitat loss, human-elephant conflict, and most for their ivory.

The ivory is often carved into ornaments and jewelry and in other things like piano keys. This brutal and wasteful practice to get ivory has threatened elephant populations badly.

Ivory trade

Elephants trafficking to get their tusks was banned in 1989 by (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) after years of unprecedented ivory poaching for tusks whether it is banned on international trade for ivory but elephants are still being poached in large numbers.

The desire for ivory products in the markets of Asia has made the illegal trade of ivory very profitable. Between 2010 and 2014, the price of ivory in China increased three times, increasing the illegal poaching at a very alarming rate. For the survival of elephants, the demand for ivory must be stopped. According to an estimate, one elephant is being killed after every fifteen minutes. They are being killed at higher rates than they are born.

Dr. Iain Souglas-Hamilton, founder and CEO of save the Elephants, says;

“We cannot manufacture elephants, once they’re gone, they cannot be replaced.”

Elephant killed in poaching

Elephants are incredibly intelligent animals. They also have a great capacity for emotions and empathy. Let’s ensure that they are here for many years to come so that our future generations can also enjoy them and learn from them. It is called wild to protect these majestic animals in it.

It is our social responsibility to save this wonderful creature by not buying the ivory, by spreading awareness about this and most of all by cooperating with organizations that are working day and night to save such a majestic species.

Elephant trafficking is increasing if we don’t raise awareness these magnificent species are going to be lost forever. Just imagine this world without such majestic creatures. Some people think why do you raise your voice and do so much struggle for this and that. One thing we need to stick in our brain is they are not this or that. They are we! Whether you are four or ninety-four, this time every person will have to unite to save these amazing creatures.

It is our corporate social responsibility to raise awareness about animal rights through different social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, online TV, etc. Awareness about abuse of animals should also be raised through streaming platforms to create awareness among people. World leaders, musicians, comedians, actors, actresses, directors, producers, journalists, social media influencers, in short every single person should raise their voice about animal abuse.  Let’s come forward and be part of this because animals’ lives matter!

Our oceans sustain life, many oceans feed humans a healthy diet. The oceans are the origin of all life on this blue planet—- but now these are suffocating badly!

The Major Reason For The Problem: Pollution

How does our oceans are polluting rapidly because of the trash? It is pumped, dumped, leaked and even washed out with our laundry. Each year we exposed our oceans with increasing varieties of pollutants— oils & petroleum products, plastic trash, chemicals and more.

Let’s no one be left behind to stop pollution from racking our beaches and have healthy oceans that delight its sustain for generations to come. We can make change but we must act fast.

It’s a need of time to reveal the dirty truths worldwide about ocean pollution and share our part to protect them from pollution because it’s our social responsibility to keep our beaches and oceans clean.

Plastic Trash In The Oceans

Seal trapped in plastic

Our marine lives are being killed by the plastics. According to a report one garbage truck of plastic is thrown in the ocean every minute and 17.6 billion pounds’ plastic every year.

Plastic is everywhere in our oceans, floating on the surface, mixing in the water and sitting on the ocean bottoms, miles and miles deep and once it is in the ocean it never goes away. After hundreds of years it broke down into the small pieces and even a micro plastic is still plastic!

More Plastic Than Marine Life:

Scientists predict by 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than the fish. The future of all creatures of the ocean is in danger. Turtles are choking on. Scientists say that over 60% percent of whales and dolphin’s species are affected by plastics.

Zooplankton, the base of the ocean food chains, is also affected a lot. We face a tsunami of throw away plastics in our ocean ‘s future. four times more plastics will be produced between now and the middle of the century, four times more!

Only 9% plastic recycle even if it’s recycled it can’t be reduced further and at last it’s down cycle and thrown away in the oceans.

Heart Rending Facts About Plastic Pollution:

Bird died due to eating plastic

Almost every piece of plastic ever produced is still out there, somewhere on the arctic ice packs, somewhere deep in the oceans! There are a million tons of plastic floating in the ocean, in our sea shore and islands.

Around one million birds die every year by swallowing plastic. And more than one million marine animals are dying every year because of plastic.

Oil Spills And Their Big Problem:

Oil coating on sea bird

When oils accidentally spill into the seas and oceans, it causes major problems. Oils spills can be very dangerous for the marine animals and sea birds. It can also make the sea food unhealthy to eat.

Oil can also coat the birds’ wings and make them unable to fly or strip away the properties of a sea otter’s fur and put them at high risk of hyperthermia.
